Halo Chest Seals  — SET OF 5 Two Packs (10 Chest Seals)

This medical device is a non-resorbable and non-sterile, occlusive wound dressing, intended to cover a wound and to provide a mechanical barrier.

HALO GEL

  • Allows HALO to stick in harsh and extreme environments.
  • Features Scrim, a non-woven material that helps manage the gel from migrating or tearing in temperature ranges of -30º – 140º F.

OUTER TAPE EDGE

  • Tape edge is more forgiving when handled with gloved or bare hands.
  • Outer tape edge has a broad operating temperature range and performs better in freezing temperatures, allowing the hydrogel time to warm to body temperature.

SIZE & SHAPE

  • Oval shape and large pull tab aids in coverage and placement of unpredictable wound patterns.

PACKAGING

  • Durable package is nearly impenetrable to water, air, gases and is puncture/tear resistant.
  • Package could be utilized as a secondary occlusive barrier, secured by tape.
  • Contains tear notches at all 4 corners.

Halo Vent is a wound dressing that uses a novel combination of materials to provide a tenacious, occlusive seal, while managing the transfer of gases to or from the lungs, with the intent to help prevent pneumothorax, even in the presence of excessive blood or heavy perspiration.

The HALO SEAL is the original product for responding to penetrating chest injuries, trusted and preferred by military experts who depend on its resiliency to save lives. The dressing acts like a supportive Band-Aid, clinging to the contours of a victim's body even when moisture, dirt, blood or other residue is present.

While the HALO SEAL is highly effective at restricting blood loss, increased air pressure on the chest cavity could still cause lungs to collapse. To reduce this risk, consider purchasing the HALO VALVE, which regulates airflow and further stabilizes the victim's condition.
