Step-by-Step Instructions: How to Use the Celox™-A Applicator

1. Prepare the Applicator: Remove the clear plastic protective cap from the plunger end and attach the plunger rod to the applicator barrel. Remove the blue protective end cap from the delivery tip.

2. Insert into the Wound: Insert the applicator tip directly into the entry wound channel until it reaches the active source of deep arterial or venous bleeding.

3. Inject Granules: Firmly depress the plunger rod while slowly withdrawing the applicator, depositing the hemostatic granules evenly throughout the wound tract.

4. Apply Direct Pressure: Immediately cover the wound site with sterile gauze and apply firm, direct manual pressure for at least 3 to 5 minutes to form a secure, stable clot. Secure with a pressure bandage for evacuation.
