To ensure accurate measurements, we recommend you calibrate the device every 2 years.
Location of sleeve
Prior to checking your blood pressure, you need to be rested for at least 15 minutes in order to receive reliable results.
1. Put the sleeve around your left arm parallel to the heart position. Wrap it around the arm so that the tube faces your palm and the artery mark is above your main artery.
2. The edge of the tube should be between 1.5 and 2.5 cm above the inner part of your elbow joint. If the sleeve is not in this range then you might need to use a different size sleeve.
3. It is important to use the proper size sleeve in order to receive accurate measures.
Testing
Place the stethoscope head above the main artery, under the
artery mark on the sleeve.
1. Squeeze the pumping pillow until you reach 20-30 mmHg above your normal blood pressure. Do this with a closed valve.
2. Open the valve and gradually release the air from the sleeve at a 2-3 mmHg rate per second.
3. Refer to the beginning of the heartbeat sound as the systolic pressure, and to the point when the sound is gone as the diastolic pressure.
4. After finishing measuring your blood pressure, open the valve completely and release the remaining air in the sleeve.

Warnings
1. Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures, moisture and direct sun light. Protect the device from falling, severe blows and dust.
2. Keep away from the reach of children.
3. Do not open the device. If you encounter a problem, contact your local distributor.
4. To terminate its operation at any time, open the valve and quickly release the air from the sleeve.
Storage and maintenance
1. When finished measuring, wrap the sleeve around the blood pressure meter and the pumping pillow and store it along with the stethoscope in the carrying bag.
2. Release all air from the sleeve before storing the device.
3. Avoid touching the fabric or parts of the sleeve with a sharp object.
4. You can visually test the device's accuracy by doing the following:
Verify the dial is within the area marked by the red line under the "0" when the device is completely empty of air.
5. Clean the sleeve with a slightly damp sponge or cloth. You may wash the sleeve with cold water and soap if needed.
Remove the inner part of the sleeve before washing, rinse and dry in the open air. Do not iron.
Clean the inner part and pumping pillow with a slightly damp sponge or cloth.
Clean the valve and clock with a soft and dry cloth.
Safety information
1. The aneroid sphygmomanometer is intended only for measuring blood pressure on the upper arm.
2. Do not pump beyond 300mmHg.
3. Do not measure blood pressure for more than 3 minutes.
4. Wait at least 2 minutes before rechecking.
