As combatants and field medics we have experienced the need for a functional, practical, and easy-to-use product. We translated this need into the LST, a tourniquet which allows for the treatment of several types of injuries, thereby saving lives.

The LST is a tactical, functional easy to use tourniquet. Tourniquets currently in use, cannot treat severe bleeding from the upper limb. Therefore, we developed the LST, capable of treating these injuries in addition to treating other bleeding injuries. In cases of injuries to the hand or foot, the LST functions like the existing tourniquet. In cases of injuries from the shoulder or upper thigh (or in cases of complete amputation), the LST applies pressure to the artery leading to the limb using a dedicated pressure pin, thus stopping the bleeding.

Choosing the LST allows for addressing a variety of injuries and save lives.

  • Effective for limb injuries: The LST is effective and quick to apply to the limb. It can also be applied with one hand.

  • Effective in Junctional areas: LST has unique characteristics that enable it to treat injuries that require pressure points.

  • Practical in extreme conditions: The LST is extremely durable. Its simplicity allows for operation even under extreme pressure conditions and during combat.

During our service in the IDF and in the medical field, we encountered a lack of ability to treat casualties with bleeding from junctional areas. This problem led to numerous unfortunate deaths over the years due to blood loss. We understood that these cases could only be prevented if there was practical on-site treatment available. As a result, we established TWM with the goal of developing and manufacturing a tourniquet to address this issue.

TWM developed the LST, which provides on-site solutions for both bleeding from junctional areas and limb bleeding. Additionally, TWM has successfully passed the Israeli Standards Institute's accreditation exams and received approval to develop and manufacture medical products (ISO13485). The LST is protected by both Israeli and international patents and has received approval from the Israeli Ministry of Health (AMAR).
